We are one of hundreds of thousands of families who have been directly affected by Child Protective Services. Our first encounter was 9/3/2008. From that moment on we have been fighting. Fighting in every way you can imagine. We did take our case all the way to the United States Supreme Court before it was dismissed on our daughter Chaunell Roberson's 18th birthday.
Along the way we have meet wonderful and devastated parents who have also had their children kidnapped by Child Protective Services. Every day in this county tens of thousands of children will be taken from their families. Kidnapped for PROFIT. Where everyone from the State you live in, doctors, nurses, hospitals, social workers, pharmaceutical companies, Medicare, Medi-Cal, lawyers, psychologist, psychiatrist, judges, Attorney General's and the list goes on and on and they all make money off of the children's backs. If your State takes more children next year the Federal government will reward them with a adoption bonus from federal funding under title IV-B .
Title IV-E of the Social Security Act provides matching funds to tribes and states for foster care, transitional independent living programs for children, guardianship assistance, and adoption assistance for children with special needs.
We believe all children first and best option is for the child to be placed with extended families so they don't lose their culture, language and heritage. We ask everyone to join us and support our fight to unite as one voice and make a change for all injustices done to our families and extended families.
Chaunell was 12 years old when she suffered a stroke on 11/4/2006 in the hospital at Banner Desert Medical Center. Two years later we discovered a medical coverup and met with the St Joseph's hospital/Barrow Neurological Institute risk management and hospital medical director Dr Charles Alfano who threatened me saying "You are not going to like what we do to you next." and they called Arizona Child Protective Services and transferred Chaunell back to Banner Desert Medical Center where it all began on 11/4/2006 and Banner Desert Hospital also called Arizona Child Protective Services on 9/3/2008. Darrell and I have been fighting ever since.
Our RICO Lawsuit lays out how Child Protective Services and hospitals, doctors, social workers, psychologists and psychiatrist. work together to destroy and kidnap your children. All of Chaunell Roberson's medical emergencies (respiratory arrest) happened in both Barrow Neurological Institute Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Banner Desert Medical Center Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Arizona Child Protective Services and doctors, psychologist and social workers manipulated Chaunell Roberson and you can read the details in the Notice of Claim. (see Download tab).
These children are being abused by the very agency in place to protect them. We will be the voice for parents, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who have been silenced by the corruption of our government and States. All of us together will unite as One Continuous Voice to fight for all children.
This is Jameelah Andreah Smith AKA Aaliya Hoffman Mueller in Phoenix Children's Hospital on 1/27/2015 after the foster parents Kristi and Brent Mueller posted a facebook post asking for donations that Jameelah needed a liver transplant.
We learned through litigation that Jameelah was placed on high levels of psychotropic medications in Arizona Child Protective Services custody and that Jameelah had been in and out of pediatric ICU for the last 4 weeks diagnosed with DRESS syndrome.
Nothing can prepare you to find out these things while you are doing everything humanly possible to get your children back from Child Protective Services. Jumping through hoops for them and they always move the finish line further down the road. We will continue to fight to find out what has happened to our beautiful daughter Jameelah Andreah Smith along with what has happened to all of these other families who have been directly affected by Child Protective Services and have No Voice. Isolated from all that they love and know. These children are being abused by the very agency in place to protect them.
We will be the voice for parents, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who have been silenced by the corruption of our government and States. All of us together will unite as One Continuous Voice to fight for all children.
Live recording of Arizona Child Protective Services social worker Amanda Torres fraudulently seizing, without a warrant or signed court order of Jameelah Andreah Smith on May 21, 2010. You can hear the family being traumatized. You can heard Jameelah ask her mother "But where I going to lie down?"
I am a pediatrician with 40 years of experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of child abuse and neglect, in the course of which I have personally diagnosed and treated over 300 cases of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy (MSBP) during my 3-decade service as medical director of the child protection team at Children’s Hospital Boston. I have consulted additionally on over 50 cases of alleged MSBP across the United States and presented over 100 lectures and workshops on MSBP to physicians, social workers, psychologists, prosecutors, and judges. I have been qualified as a pediatric expert on MSBP in the Juvenile and Probate Courts of Massachusetts, as well as in California, Florida, and New Hampshire, as well as testifying in criminal trials in which MSBP was alleged in Massachusetts and Florida.
In the course of my training at Children’s Hospital Boston, I organized its first child protection team in September 1970. Subsequently, I devoted my medical career to service, research, and teaching, with a focus on the development of better methods to address child abuse and neglect in all their manifestations. I founded and directed the principal out-patient clinic for victims of abuse and neglect at Children’s Hospital, the Family Development Clinic, from November 1972 to December 1999. Over the first decade, this clinic became a principal referral source for the Massachusetts Probate and Family Courts for interdisciplinary assessments of child abuse, child sexual abuse, and domestic violence in the face of custody conflict. It was obvious at the time I started this work that child abuse was a major social and clinical problem.
I have published articles and books on child abuse and related issues through my career. My particular interest in the consequences of victimization for boys led to my latest book, “The Men They Will Become: The Nature and Nurture of Male Character,” published in 1999. I have contributed to clinical, research, and public discourse on child abuse and neglect, pediatrics, child development, and child welfare all through my career. A partial list of the committees and boards on which I have served follows:
In my efforts to improve services to abused and neglected children, I have often taught current approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention to members of the helping professions involved with these cases, at conferences for physicians, nurses, social workers, lawyers, judges, childcare workers, and mental health personnel. We also hired Dr. Eric Mart (please see reports under downloads.)
Opinion: Chaunell Roberson is a victim, not of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, but of careless, intellectually dishonest, and harmful medical practice. Dr Eli Newberger
On the evening of November 4, 2006, 12-year-old Chaunell Roberson would be lying intubated in the same hospital, in a coma, having just had a stroke. Or that, despite thousands of pages of medical records, the doctors who were caring for Chaunell would accuse her mother of fabricating her daughter’s illness in order to draw attention to herself.
Arizona CPS Takes Away Daughter – Puts into Foster Home with No Medical Care.
On September 3, 2008, because of a complaint filed by Banner Desert Medical Center, Arizona’s Child Protective Services would take Chaunell into custody.
Chaunell was put in a home—as court documents would later allege—with an incompetent and inappropriate foster mother who would refuse to let her see a doctor even though she complained of being in pain, would smoke and drink in front of her, and would forbid her from contacting her court-appointed lawyer. For a year and a half Chaunell, separated from her family, would send emails and letters begging to come home.
Health Problems Worsened- Suicide Watch
Chaunell’s complicated health problems would worsen while in state custody: She would visit the school nurse 32 times in a 5-month period, be put under a suicide watch and spend four weeks in a locked psychiatric ward, and be hospitalized with bacterial meningitis for five weeks.
Lawsuit Against Hospital and CPS Filed
Then, on September 19, 2009 Leanna Smith’s lawyer would file a lawsuit against Banner Desert Medical Center, as well as Barrow Neurological Institute, where Chaunell had also been treated, naming also Child Protective Services, the State of Arizona, and several of the doctors and professionals who had been involved in her daughter’s care.
CPS Takes Second Daughter
Twenty months later, in what many close to the case believe was retaliation for the lawsuit and an attempt to intimidate Leanna into dropping it, CPS would come to Leanna’s apartment and take her younger daughter, Jameelah Smith, away.
Unfit Parents, or Medical Kidnapping?
Did Leanna and Darrell Smith lose custody of their youngest daughter because they were really unfit parents and Jameelah would be safer with another family? Or were they being punished for their disagreements with the doctors and the hospitals, and for refusing to stay quiet about medical mistakes made in their older daughter’s care?
Mother's claims alleging healthcare providers wrongly caused her to lose custody may proceed. Smith v. Barrow Neurological Inst. of St. Joseph's Hosp & Med. Ctr. No. 10-1632 (D-Ariz. May 4, 2011.
This court reviews de novo a district court’s dismissal based on res judicata. “Res judicata, also known as claim preclusion, bars litigation in a subsequent action of any claims that were raised or could have been raised in the prior action.

Please see the Writ of Cert case # 15-732 that we filed on December 2, 2015 and that we took all the way to the US Supreme court only for it to be dismissed on January 25, 2016 our daughter Chaunell Roberson's 18th birthday. Our first daughter that was medically kidnapped
A.R.S. 13-2301, 2310, 2311 and 13-2314-18 U.S.C. 1962 and related State tort and Federal Court
The above actions constitute a scheme or artifice to defraud Leanna and Darrell of custody of CR and/or JS and to damage or eliminate Leanna’s claims against the Civil Rights case. Defendants by manipulating CR into believing her mother had Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy (MSBP) which is a disorder in which the caretaker of a child either makes up fake symptoms or causes real symptoms to make it appear as though the child is injured or ill. and that her mother tried to kill her, that CR needed to protect JS and take JS out of her mother’s home and to make false allegations of abuse (including sexual abuse) to assure termination of Leanna and Darrell’s parental rights in CR and JS.(Chaunell Roberson 14 yrs old when taken on 9.3.2008) and JS. (Jameelah Smith 4 years old when taken 5.21.2010). Please read this lawsuit as it shed a light into the CORRUPT BUSINESS OF CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES
Jameelah Smith was a happy, healthy and safe child. Then she was taken by Arizona Child Protective Services. In State custody our experts have shared that they believe she was severely abused. At this point in time, it is unknown if she is alive. Her social security number and her name were changed to Aaliya Hoffman Mueller. As parents to wake up in the middle of the night and cry for your child, knowing she is scared, frightened and not safe has got to be the worse feeling in the world. They took two of our children and left one child in our home. Our son Cordell Roberson also testified that everything the family was accused of was not true and he also misses his sister's greatly as he has not seen Chaunell in 13 years and Jameelah in 11 years. Arizona Child Protective Service took advantage of our vulnerable daughter's but left our son in our home the whole time. Please help us to find our daughter.
